Abstract

In contemporary times, individuals are entangled in various troubles and confusions, with widespread anxiety affecting people regardless of their wealth or status. Many, especially those with positions of power, suffer from business worries and fear of loss, which disrupt their peace of mind and sleep, leaving anxiety unresolved despite temporary pleasures. From an Islamic perspective, true comfort and tranquility come from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, who bestows peace upon His pleased servants. While wealth can provide superficial happiness, true contentment resides in the heart and is achieved through the remembrance and worship of Allah. Reforming ourselves through the spiritual practices of Sufism—marked by obedience to God, adherence to the Prophet’s teachings, and exemplary morality—can lead to genuine satisfaction and peace. Historically, Sufis have provided spiritual guidance and training, and today’s society urgently needs this mysticism, grounded in the love, brotherhood, and morality illuminated by the Qur'an and Sunnah, to address mental and psychological distress. This article elucidates how Sufi teachings can serve as a remedy for contemporary anxieties, offering a path to true inner peace.
