Abstract

The teachings of Islam are universal, with the Holy Quran and Hadith providing comprehensive guidance for all aspects of life. Islam places significant emphasis on maintaining a clean and healthy environment, both for individuals and society as a whole. One fundamental aspect of this is the consumption of lawful and pure food. The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) instructed that food should be consumed in moderation, as excessive eating can harm the body’s biological systems. Uncontrolled eating habits are linked to various diseases, including vascular diseases, diabetes, heart attacks, and strokes. Islam prohibits the use of intoxicants due to their detrimental health effects and forbids the consumption of certain animal meats to prevent both physical and spiritual ailments. By adhering to Islamic teachings on health, individuals can protect themselves from numerous diseases and environmental issues. The principles outlined in the Holy Quran and Sunnah provide a framework for a healthy society. This article thoroughly examines these issues, offering realistic insights into the benefits of following Islamic health guidelines.
